"That will be expensive"
That is probably what you are thinking. Let us be straight about it.
A few years ago this kind of thing needed an agency, a project manager and a few months of lead time. Back then the impression was right: it was expensive, and out of reach for a one-person business.
That has changed. I work alone, with tooling that handles the routine part, and deliver in weeks instead of months. Which means I can offer this kind of work to a sole trader instead of only to companies with an IT department.
Work it out for yourself
If it saves you five hours a week, that is over two hundred hours a year. Put a one-off build against that and within a couple of minutes you know whether it adds up. If it does not, I say so in the first conversation — then we have both lost an hour instead of half your budget.
How I work
Short, clear and no surprises afterwards.
First we check it is worth it
Before we talk money, we check whether it pays off at all. If it barely saves you time, I say so and we have both spent an hour — not half your budget.
One fixed project price
After a short conversation you get one number for the whole job. No hourly billing. If it runs over because I estimated badly, that is my problem, not yours.
A third on approval
On approval you pay a third and I block out time for you. The rest once everything runs as agreed. I work on a handful of jobs at a time, so you know you are actually up next and I do not get pulled away halfway through.
After that it is yours
No subscription with me. You pay for the build once and then it runs on your side. Want changes later, or want me to maintain it? That is available separately — but it is not required.
